A dog who is much too happy given he won’t let me take his lead off and is cheerily growling at me.
The dog, who has mental and physical disabilities because he was used for badger baiting before we adopted him, is a great and very cute island of pleasant duty of care, from the overwhelming ocean of horribly sad and infinitely more difficult stuff being dealt with.
